IC Works Ltd is Ian Christie (and associates) trading as IC Works. Our sister website easy-read-documents.com provides accessible information services with due aplomb.

Ian's story

A music maker since aged 10 when he learned the violin, Ian got his 1st electric guitar aged 16. Inspired by the punk/post punk revolution he formed Khartomb, recorded a John Peel session & recorded a (minor) cult single back in 83, and played at Alan McGee's Living Room. (Khartomb are now back together after a long hiatus).

A photo buff since he got a Kodak Instamatic 155X for Xmas in the 70s, the photography bug bit when he took his Minolta SLR to Bangladesh in the 90s. A decade or so later Ian converted to digital with his Nikon D-80.

He's a social media nut; a big Twitter fan, with other accounts on Tumblr and Instagram. Aims to stay almost ahead of the curve, currently discovering Periscope, a live streaming channel that requires some nerve!

Always looking out for new ways to make content special, Ian does voiceovers and creates photo-movies, something like this one below...

Whilst working for Islington Council through most of the noughties Ian discovered the Easy Read format, which was the perfect format as it combined his writing skills and visual sense. Fillable PDFs that make forms easy to fill out on Adobe Reader (MS Windows is paid-for so isn't fully accessible)

Ian's extolled the virtues of device-friendly formats for many years. As we edge to the Twenty20s unique content will continue to be king, but found on smartphones and tablets. That's why this website, easy-read-documents.com and khartomb.com have all been built using SquareSpace. The website builder of choice for podcast fans!
